With a major holiday around the corner, drivers can expect increased police patrols in our area. Georgia highway safety officials remind motorists to buckle up. Increased patrols begin Monday. The Governor's Office of Highway Safety is launching its traditional Click It or Ticket effort at the same time as its Rural Roads seat belt crackdown this year. During a 102-hour period over Thanksgiving last year, 102 people died and more than 14 hundred were injured on Georgia roads.
