Hutcheson Begins Major Renovations
The Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe begins a multi-million dollar renovation project.
Wednesday the hospital kicked off a $48 million rebuilding project.
The project is expected to last 2 to 3 years.
The hospitals main lobby will be the first to be renovated, followed by patient rooms and common areas.
Millions of dollars of new equipment will also be purchased.
"Oh, it's vastly needed," says Charles Stewart, CEO of Hutcheson Medical Center. "This is the biggest project we've had here in 15 years."
Hutcheson says service will not be interrupted by the clean up.
