Homicide

There are now two stories about what happened early this morning..and how two people ended up with multiple gun shot wounds.

Chattanooga police say two young men were found on the parking lot of the Brainerd Krispy Kreme about one a-m suffering from severe wounds, and were taken to Parkridge East. They were later rushed to Erlanger where one of them died.

He was 16-year old Central High student Isaac Robinson of Boyce Street. He was shot in the chest, shoulder, face/head and thigh.

Extra patrols were assigned to Central today just in case it was a gang-related incident.

The second victim, 19-year old Michael Shadden, who is in stable condition with wounds to his neck and right shoulder, told Chattanooga police it happened in a nearby Brainerd neighborhood.

Lt. Kim Noorgergen of the Chattanooga Police Department says, "We're looking into it...we talked to neighbors in that area..no one heard anything and you would think that with the amount of gunshots..somebody would have heard."

But a person familiar with the two shooting victims told WDEF News 12 that it was actually a drug-deal gone bad, and that it happened in the Summit Community.

That's where we found a sheriff's officer guarding the intersection at Rhinehart and Pattontown Road, near Bill Reed Road.

Sheriff's Department spokesman Dusty Stokes, while not giving details of the investigation, confirmed his department had taken over.

He said details will be made public when the investigation is concluded.

Officers are looking for two young black men, that Shadden told them were the assailants.
