The naming of the Harrison, Tennessee Post Office to the Claude Ramsey Post Office marks the first time a post office in the southeast district has been named after anyone. It's due to the efforts of Congressman Zach Wamp. The Chattanooga republican sponsored a bill to rename the post office earlier this year. At Wednesday's designation ceremony, Wamp presented Mayor Ramsey with the bill and the pen President Bush used to sign it into law. Mayor Ramsey worked at the Harrison Post Office as a teenager and was joined by a former co-worker at the ceremony.
