Hamilton County Gets An F In Air Pollution
Comments Below: 0
Hamilton County receives an F for air pollution according to the American Lung Association's lastest report.
The Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau says it's disappointing, but that air quality is improving.
Last year's numbers were the lowest in recorded history.
Amber McCorvie of the Air Pollution Control Bureau says higher standards played into the scoring.
McCorvie says the good part about the report is the county's not on the top 25 list.
She says, "People are aware that there are issues in Hamilton County. We have come a long way from where we started, but there is still a lot to do, and we hope that this report reminds people that everything that everybody does is gonna make a difference."
You can help by following the seasonal burning ban, combining errand runs, carpooling, or fueling up after 6 pm.
