It puts the state firmly on record as promoting economic growth along with energy efficiency.

A piece of legislation designed to protect consumers from tainted food has some organic farmers worried. The Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 would create an agency called the Food Safety Administration. Some people claim the bill could put farmer's markets and other small food vendors out of business.
