Gas Gauge

Oil prices closed at just over $81 a barrel today, after hitting a high for the year Wednesday.  The recent run-up has many worried about the future, fearing history may repeat itself.

The environmentally friendly three-wheeled vehicles run on propane or natural gas and can go up to 63 miles per hour.

The next advance in electric vehicles may come out of Chattanooga.  Engineering students and facility at UTC hope to find a way to unplug the electric car.  In fact, you may soon see a test case take place downtown.

Chattanooga will be one of about a dozen cities across the country to be equipped with new transportation infrastructure.  Electric car charging stations will be added here, along with Nashville and Knoxville and several cities on the West Coast.

     We found the Amoco on Amnicola Friday morning raising prices from a $1.68 to a $1.86.
     That's an 18 cent jump in just a few minutes.
