Fomer McCallie Golfer Adam Mitchell Selected to U.S. Walker Cup Team

Former McCallie golf star Adam Mitchell is one of 8 golfers selected to represent  the United States in the 2009 Walker Cup. The former Georgia golfer, who finished his collegiate eligibility earlier this year, will play for Team USA against the Great Britain & Ireland team.
      The Walker Cup will be held at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania on September 12th and 13th.
       Mitchell finished third at the Tenneessee State Amateur tournament at the Honors course earlier this week and was a semifinalist at last year’s U.S. Amateur.
