The governor announces new flood aid for East Ridge.
The U-S Small Business administration has granted a disaster declaration for Hamilton county.
That makes homeowners and businesses eligible for low-interest loans.
The Declaration also reaches out to neighboring counties in Tennessee and Georgia.
Flood victims in each county that borders Hamilton can also apply for the loans.
East Ridge is also looking at a long-term fix to their flooding problems.
City leaders have appointed a study committee to consider building a levee to protect the area... Just like the Brainerd levee.
The federal government has offered money before for a levee.. But the city failed to match their share.
The committee will decide whether it's worth applying for a grant again.
