FCC Commissioner Comes to Chattanooga to Explain DTV Switch
The way we receive our television programming changes in four months when all TV stations must only deliver digital signals.
Federal Communications Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate held a Town Hall Forum at the Eastgate Senior Activity Center to explain the switch over Tuesday morning.
Tate told those gathered that if they receive their programming through an antenna, they will not receive the digital signal without purchasing a converter.
She says about 35,000 homes in the Chattanooga area still use rabbit ears or roof antennas.
The change from analog to digital will not affect cable and satellite customers.
