Eye Health Month
Comments Below: 0
August is Eye Health Month. The perfect time for a check up. Here are some tips to keep your peepers in tip top shape.
First, practice proactive prevention. Get regular eye exams. Don't forget your protection, like sunglasses hats or visors. And remember long periods of time staring at a computer screen can cause tremendous strain on the eyes.
How often should you get your eyes examined? In general, doctors recommend those age 20 to 39 get one every 2or 3 to 5 years. People age 40 to 64 every 2 to 4 years and those 65 and older every 1 to 2 years. Those with special risk like diabetes family history of glaucoma or previous eye problems may need more serious checks.
So keep an eye out for your eyes. And stay safe and healthy.
