Hamilton County High Schools Part of Full Year Math, English Study

If you take a few months off from studying Math and English, it's harder to pick it back up again. Some Hamilton County high schools will soon put that theory to the test, as part of a federal study aimed at improving graduation rates.

Superintendent Kathy Cox Proposes Raisning Georgia Lottery Ticket Prices For Schools

The Schools Superintendent proposed today raising lottery ticket prices by fifty cents.
She says it could raise 350-million dollars for the schools.

"Race to the Top" legislation approved earlier this year would give the state's commissioner of education the funds needed to create a special school district. Howard High School in Hamilton County would be included in that district.
Hamilton County Schools Launch Teach/Here, Teacher Residency Program
