Six local high school bands showed off their music and moves at the 6th annual Drumline Sunday afternoon.
Power 94 puts on the show with host bands Tyner and Howard.
It's not a competition, but an opportunity to showcase the talents of area bands.
Several thousand people come to watch.
There were also bands there from Nashville and Huntsville... Along with the Alabama State Marching Band.
The station's Keith Landecker says it's a good opportunity for the kids to see the college bands, and for them to be recruited.
He says, "Everybody can't be on the football team or on the basketball team. So, the band is just as important as anything else at the school, and this is an opportunity for them to have their own event and showcase their own selves to their peers, to their family, to their friends, and it is fantastic."
Bands sold tickets to that event and got to keep a portion of the money for their programs.
Landecker says it's about seeing good kids doing a good thing.
