Does Georgia Gun Law Apply to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport?

|

Hartsfield Guns

Tennessee rejected legislation this year to expand where you can carry a gun.

But Georgia didn't.

And today the new Georgia law went into effect.

It means people with permits to carry guns can now bring them to state parks.. Public transportation and restaurants.. Even if they serve alcohol.

To get a carry permit.. You have to pass a criminal background check.

And the new law has already sparked a showdown.

Does the law apply to the airport?

The city of Atlanta says it doesn't.

But the lawmaker who sponsored the bill said he would bring a gun to the airport today as a test case. The Hartsfield-Jackson airport shootout is our top story tonight.

Gun Laws

Conservitive or Liberal, White, Black, Red, Yellow or Brown we are all Americans. Some more patriotic than others. I assure you we are all tired of the predators. As a POST VIETNAM Vet African American I for one have no problem with protecting myself, property or those who may be preyed upon if I am in the vecinity. No matter what COLOR they may be, you are my brother's & sister's. I just hope that we realize their are outsiders who want to infiltrate us and destroy our Country. We must unite regardless of ethnicity. An for those who want to be predators on our elderly and children watch out, because the eye of the barrel will prevail!

I would like someone to show

I would like someone to show me where a person with permit to carry committed any crime with a gun. If you can find one then show what percentage that accounts for all gun crimes.

in Georgia, signage means nothing. that means that places can post all the signs they want, it does not mean jack. it has to be in the letter of the law. and you can carry a firearm into ANY airport up to the metal detectors.

you may also travel with your firearm, but you have to follow the airlines handling procedures on how to declare the weapon is for transit and present the correct forms that are easily obtained from the airliner's website that you are holding tickets to board.

why not

if someone has intentions to pop a cap in a person they will regardless of any law, most of the time when a person is going to shoot someone they plan it out i have not seen alot of people get shot at the sper of the moment anger, but why does people want to carry a gun in a public place for, no other reason but to show off, show offs are what gets people hurt most of the time an they are not the ones that get hurt because they are to busy running seen it alot

georgia gun laws

when will the public finally realize that it's not the law abiding citizen that they should fear. I'm a 34 year old, permit carrying responsible adult that owns numerous guns. Why not ask the question that maybe criminals knowledge or lack there of whom might be carrying might keep them from robbing, or attacking someone in a public place.
It took 5 months for my permit to be approved. I was fingerprinted at the County Jail, my background investigated and finally approved.
Criminals do not buy their guns at gun stores. They don"t apply for concealed permits. It's about time that the field was leveled. No one wants to be a victim.
Ease up with your liberal bleeding heart democrat agenda. Fear of guns is just the ignorance of not understanding them.
