Community Supports LFO Cheerleaders Biblical Banners

The community stands behind LFO cheerleaders after the school district bans their game banners. After a complaint, the Catoosa school district told them they could no longer display them. The district cites the separation of church and state. Those who support the cheerleaders say it's a student-led effort that doesn't fall under the federal law. Brad Scott, Former Student, "Our schools are trying to get our students to present a positive message to our community and that's what they're trying to do and and they're being defeated." Bishop Steve Smith, Boynton Church of God, "I think it's a sad day when the school board will listen to one lady's objection over to all of the other people's objection."
A rally is planned at the Chick Fil A on Battlefield Parkway for 7 pm Tuesday.
