Cleveland Police Investigate Fatality on Saturday

On Saturday, June 5, 2010, the Cleveland Police Department investigated a vehicle crash with injuries which resulted in the death of a 71-year-old female.

According to witness statements, Mrs. Joyce Bennett was northbound on Stephens Road when she pulled out into traffic on Stuart Road.

The driver of a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, identified as, Guy Runyan (DOB 3/28/92) struck the

2002 Saturn driven by Mrs. Bennett (DOB 6/5/39). Upon the collision, Bennett's vehicle was spun into the westbound lanes of traffic and was struck again by a 2005 GMC Canyon, driven by Mr. Ernest Peoples. 

Runyan and Peoples were both treated for minor injuries and released. Joyce Bennett died as a result of the collisions.
