Clerk Attacked With Crowbar

Police in Mesa, Arizona, are on the hunt for a woman, caught on surveillance tape, assaulting a clothing store clerk with a crowbar.

The woman enters the Name Brand Exchange store and goes to the checkout as though she wanted to purchase some items.

But, when the cashier opens the drawer, the woman hits her with a crowbar and grabs some cash.

Witnesses say the suspect got away in a tan Toyota Corolla.

The clerk wasn't seriously hurt.

Police describe the attacker as a dark-haired American Indian woman about 5 feet 7 inches and between 140 and 150 pounds.
