Cleveland kicks off its Christmas Campaign Saturday at Bradley Square Mall. The event officially marks the beginning of angel tree adoptions and red kettle donations. Mayor Tom Rowland was joined by the Prospect School Choir to celebrate the day. Last year, more than 500 kids were served through the angel tree adoptions and donations through the red kettle campaign increased despite hard economic times. "We look forward this year to that continued generosity because we have more families coming for the first time in need and we've already seen an increase in the angel tree requests," Ruthie Forgey with the Salvation Army said.
