Chattanooga police are looking for a man who carjacked and stabbed a woman Tuesday night.
Sonya Burton told police she was stopped on Anderson Street just before ten when a black male jumped into her car. He forced into the back seat and started stabbing her. A short time later, the man crashed the car on South Hickory Street, jumped out and fled on foot. Burton suffered stab wounds to her head, neck and shoulder. She's listed in critical but stable condition. The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male, 5'10 to 6 feet tall, with a muscular build.
