Some Chattanooga residents answer the call to aid victims of flooding in Kentucky.

Heavy rains soaked homes, schools, and other structures this weekend near Pikeville, Kentucky.  The storm destroyed 186 home and damaged 900-others.

The local Red Cross chapter received deployment orders and will send two volunteers in an emergency response vehicle to help feed storm victims.  Will Rowe, one of the volunteers, says "once we get there we're fair game for whatever they need us to do. We may stay with the ERV, we may do other jobs as assigned because the ERV is national Red Cross property they may assign it to another team and have us do something else, we don't know."

Rowe expects the local team will be deployed for several weeks.  Their emergency response vehicle can prepare three to 500-meals a day.
