We've seen plenty of gun violence over this Thanksgiving holiday.
Thankfully, none have proven fatal so far.
The latest is a shooting early Friday morning at 5621 Brainerd Road.
That's where a man said he was shot in a parking lot while leaving a nightclub.
21-year old James Appling says a man approached him asking for money in the parking lot.
When he refused, the man grabbed him by the throat and shot him in the thigh.
Police say Appling's wound does not appear to be life threatening.
