Bill Frist's SCORE Announced Projects To Target Improving Education in Tennessee

Former Tennessee Senator Bill Frist presses forward with his effort to improve education in Tennessee.
He outlined six projects his SCORE group will undertake next year.
One action item calls for rolling back regulations placed on school districts by the Tennessee General Assembly.
Another initiative would provide rural school districts with help to apply for federal grants to recruit high-quality superintendents, principals, and teachers to rural areas.
Frist says "we can't do it all. And we can't cure it overnight, but of all the things we've proposed these are the six most important that we know will have the largest incremental impact in taking Tennessee from the bottom of the barrel up to being number one in the Southeast."
SCORE will also sponsor a gubernatorial debate on education in January and run a televised ad campaign in hopes of attracting grassroots support for its cause.
