Big Payoff for Law Enforcement Fighting War on Drugs
Local law enforcement agencies get a big payoff for a job well done. Six agencies shared more than 300-thousand dollars from the property seized from the 2006 Joseph Swafford methamphetamine manufacturing case- including the Broadway Home and Garden Center. The Department of Justice Equitable Sharing Program gave all the local and state agencies involved a percentage of the proceeds based on how much involvement they had in the case. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department got the most- more than $209,000. Chattanooga Police, East Ridge Police, T-B-I, Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the I-R-S each received a little more than $19,000.
LEGALIZE HARMLESS TO BANKRUPT THE DANGEROUS
EVERYBODY NEEDS A RELEASE AND A EUPHORIA... IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THAT, THEN BLESS YOUR HEART... YOU ARE A BITTER, OVER-STRESSED, AND PROBABLY ON THE VERGE TO A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN.. OR FILTHY RICH AND NO STRESS EVEN IN ECONOMIC HARD TIME...
THEY NEED TO LEGALIZE A "EUPHORIC DRUG" (VALUME, XANAX, OR MARIJUANA) SO THEY CAN CONTROL IT AND THE QUANTITIES. THIS WOULD DRIVE THE DRUG DEALERS OUT OF BUSINESS, OR REDUCE IT DRASTICALLY. KINDA LIKE THE MOON-SHINERS BACK IN THE DAY, ONCE LIQUOR WAS LEGALIZED. THERE'S STILLS STILL OUT THERE, BUT THERE ARE SO FEW OF THEM NOW BECAUSE IT IS NOT WORTH THE TIME & ILLEGAL EFFORT IF YOU CAN GO TO THE LOCAL MART AND BUY IT. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT....
Big payoff for law enforcement....
Oh, looky there!
How special!
The jackbooted thugs get to keep what they've stolen.
Welcome to the Fascist States of America.
Article "Big pay off for law enforcement fighting war on drugs"
I've come to the conclusion that the billions of dollars law enforcement has been given to fight drugs has clearly been over rated. Reporters call cases like this big, when in truth they are very small compared to the real drug dealers. Organized crime has pipelined drugs into every city, school, and community in this country. Yet law enforcement always gets the thumbs up from the media. But the truth is they are not winning the war on drugs. I'm a retired veteran and lived all over this country, lived in seven states, over 30 cities, in my life. In each place law enforcement could not stop the pipeline of drugs. As a matter of fact, they spend most of their time busting small time pushers or young people that make mistakes. It's very sad we praise a failure such as law enforcement, the drug war is in fact most expensive war in history, and the biggest failure in history. Every citizen should know the truth.

I'm glad to hear so many
I'm glad to hear so many people can rationally see the failure and harm of the war on drugs. Most Americans mindlessly follow what they are told by the government and media and believe the war on drugs is a good thing. It is really all about money. The cops get their cut, so do the dealers, lawyers, prison gaurds, ect. ect. and we keep paying, and in the end it has no effect on availiblity of drugs.
