American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard Promotes His First Chattanooga Concert at the Bessie Smith Heritage Festival
On Wednesday The Season 2 winner of "American Idol," says he's looking forward to performing in the Scenic City. Additional performers include Calvin Richardson, Vasti Jackson, Joe Johnson, Just a Few Cats Band and world beat band Ogya.
The Bessie Smith Heritage Festival will be held August 23 on the grounds of the Chattanooga African American Museum. For ticket information, go to the festival website.

Ruben Studdard: "I've been here a couple of times and I have a lot of close friends that are here so I thought it would be cool to come up here and FINALLY get a chance to do a show in Chattanooga. I have never performed here before, so this will be my first time performing for the fans here in Chattanooga."The festival concerts will be held on the grounds of the museum on M.L. King Boulevard.
