Mayfield Dairy in Athens is eliminating some jobs to fight the rising costs of milk production.

The company is cutting about a hundred workers from its distribution centers.

But the production plants won't be affected.

In McMinn County.. Investigators have identified a body found by a farmer in June.

Detectives have identified the man as Lester Ellison.

They've been searching for him for months.

They say Ellison ran from police after crashing his car into a tree.

Officials have approved 15-hundred and 21 buyouts.

For those employees, this will be their last week on the job.

An appeals court upholds a ruling throwing out a confession in a brutal child abuse case.

Mitchell Delashmitt admitted to raping and murdering his 14-month old daughter five years ago in McMinn County.

But the courts ruled that police may have coerced that confession.


Troopers Charge McMinn Driver in Crash That Kills Two Teens

Tennessee troopers have charged the driver of a pickup truck with vehicular homicide after a deadly crash Sunday in McMinn County.

It happened on Highway 3-0-5 at three in the morning.

Troopers say 29-year-old William Ottman was driving under the influence of alcohol and had marijuana in his possession when his pickup crossed the center line.
