I love my dogs.
I have 3 APBT MY grandparents had an APBT she was a red nose My dad got her for his birthday as a teenager and when he married my mother he left her with them. She never was left at home, they took her on many trips to many different states and if she couldn't stay they wouldn't either. My grandmother ran a day care when I was a child, no one was afraid to leave their children their even after they met Delilah. No one was afraid that she would maim their child because she was raised in a good home with good people and had no history of violence. A man 2 doors down from her had a Rottie dog and when I was 8 it maimed a child that lived a block over, the child was 7 and he had went in to the yard to get a ball and well he got hurt seriously. Another thing is that some kids a cruel and they will throw rocks kick or hit dogs, this boy my grandmother babysat tried to get Delilah to bite him once, he kicked her repeatedly and she just ran away from him she was a very large dog not small by any means. She died in 96 my grandfather built her a casket bought her a tomb stone and buried her in the front yard of his house. Every year on her birthday and on they day of death they lay flowers on her grave. She was very well loved. My 3 pits have never posed a threat, they are a bit high strung, but I also have a wiener dog and you know what they have not eaten him yet, they all play with him and my male sleeps with him at night, they share everything and I have never had a problem. My 2 year old plays with them, I was raised around an American pit bull terrier my child will be and her children as well. I don't care what anyone says, if you let dogs run wild in packs or alone you are asking for trouble. If the city you live in is too stupid to enforce the leash law then they shouldn't be allowed to make any of the decisions weather they pertain to animals, people, or plants. And like the guy way up there said IF YOU HAVE NEVER OWNED A PIT BULL TERRIER THEN YOU HAVE NO ROOM TO POST A COMMENT. And on another note My husbands brother got mauled by a blue tick hound dog, my grandfather got bit by our blue tick hound dog, both had a history of biting and my brother in law was 4 when this happened to him he was playing in the yard and got too close to the dogs food and he snapped and ripped his inner right leg opened all the way up to his groin.... ANY DOG CAN BE VISIOUS... my only advice to everyone is Know your dog, don’t worry about the breed know how your dog is and if you cant keep them fenced in chained up or kenneled DO NOT OWN THEM... be responsible stop making everyone else pay for your stupidity.
