I have been a proud owner of American Pitbull Terriers for about 6 years now. When I first was introduced to the breed I was scared because of things I had heard in the media. It only took me about 5 minutes to fall completely in love. Since that first meeting I have been around hundreds of pitbulls, from family pets, to show dogs, to weight pull dogs. I have not once in this time encountered a single one that I had any concern about being around. They are the most loving breed I have ever known. My husband and I have 6 daughters and I am completely comfortable with them playing with our dogs and feeding them.I do not worry for their safety for a single second. The media is just on their "cause" for the moment. Before long it will die down and they will move on to their next cause. But in the mean time innocent people and their loved pets are being made to suffer for the stupidity of uneducated people. Untill you have spent time with one of these wonderful animals do not be to quick to judge.
