I'm correcting my life as I type.
Phew! You've really turned it all around for me. Y'know I've been around Pit Bulls now since 1989, when my college buddy and I adopted one, and that shared responsiblity lead me to own my own dog (also a Pit Bull) about 12 years ago. Recently, I've adopted yet another of the same breed. Over the years I've spend many a free hour learning as much as I could about the breed's history, its health and socialiation needs, and its controversial place in modern culture, by reading books and speaking with the numerous Pit Bull owners I've crossed paths with. The thing is, none of that experience and learned knowledge comes close to educating me like your comment here. Why didn't I realize what the TV and the news were trying to tell me? Y'know, I feel so lucky that my dogs haven't attacked someone or their child, or me for that matter. Well, from here on out, I'm not taking anymore chances. From here on out, my dogs are eighty-sixxed! To hell with my life's experience! It was all make-believe and I don't want to live in a make-believe world any more. Buddy, I owe you one. To think all your knowledge and know-how about the breed would have been lost on me if not for your post. Man, I think of all the time you've spent sitting back earning your Pit Bull-know how on your couch, watching the tube and reading your magazines and papers, and I scoff at all of my make-believe experience I've had in the "real world". I can't wait to tell the everyone I know about this eye-opening experience. I also can't wait to tell them all about my new policies I've picked up from the TV and the news –1. Black People are all criminals, so they gotsta go. 2.Every middle eastern person hates our freedom, so they gotta hit that magic carpet on outta here. 3.Captain Kirk is now on Boston Legal, though he looks like a balloon version of himself. 4. Hurricane's cause way too much coastal damage and floods, so we need to send them to the middle east. 5. America's got talent! (Refer to #3.) 6. Six blades are better than 3 on shaving razor. 7. My life will get even more "real" when I get that new Sony Bravia HDTV. Thank you, so very much.
