We are the owners of 2 wonderful pits.And we consider them angels from heaven.We live in Cleveland TN.And we had a unknown child sex offender move in the neighberhood.We were outside one day.Me and the 2 kids.We had the pits out letting them run and play with the kids.Well I needed to go in the house to relieve myself.Little did I know this guy had been watching us through the woods.So after I was done and comming back out the door .The oldest pit has this guy pinned to the ground by his head.And the little one has him by the leg.I get the dogs off of him and question him.He says he just needed to borrow something.Well I called the law.They checked his story and his record.
And we found out what he was.I thank GOD for my pits.If they would not have been there who knows were my kids would be.And before you say well your kids should not have been alone.People we live way back up off the road.This guy had to have been scoping us out for awhile.And we are a pretty close neighberhood.Keep in mind the dogs did not hurt the man they just let him know that those kids belonged to them and not him.So how can you ban and kill a breed for protecting there loved ones.If that is the case then we all should be banned.My oldest pit taught my son to walk with her tail.Now he rides her like a horse.These are our angels.Who saved our kids.And saved me from a life in prison.Because if the dogs had not have stopped him.I would had the wrong way.They are a blessing in all of our lives and I thank them each and every day for what they done.So if you must ban and kill off the breed of something that can be raised the right way.To protect and LOVE its loved ones.Then you better start with the human breed.Because a dog is just as loyal if not more sometimes than a human.
