Yes, the subject line above is directed at every uneducated person in the world screaming ban this breed. Irresponsible owners breed violent dogs. I have grown up with "pitbulls" rots, sheppards, dobs, wolf hybirds and NONE of them were ever violent. Pits ARE still the number one search and rescue dog, the number one drug sniffing dog. Oh and lets NOT forget the FIRST AMERICAN WAR DOG, Sgt. Stubby who was not only a "pitbull" but in the 102 infantry of the United States Army. Sgt Stubby earned his way up the ranks because of several reasons. 1.) He rescued injured soldiers by pulling them off of the battle field. 2.) He alerted the 102 infantry to enemy attacks before they could attack. 3.) He could raise his paw above eye brow level and saluted commanding officers. Petey from the little rascles was a pitbull. Oh and in England "pitbulls" are still what is called nanny dogs, they watch their owners children. Pitbulls have a great temperment. BAD owners create bad dogs. I truly pitty all of you uneducated people who believe the bs on the news. How about we round up all of you uneducated people and ban you from the U.S.? Does that sound fair? NO it don't, so none of you have any rights to tell others what breed of dog we are and are not allowed to have. I signed up to volunteer at a dog shelter. I was told not to get anywhere near this group because they were very aggressive. Of course they were all pitbulls. Funny from the moment I walked in there NOT one ever barked or growled at me. They were more terrified then anything, I petted them all. Nothing but very friendly and loving. Really shy and scared but loving and gentle. Goes to show who knows what. But they little tiny dogs were so aggressive they would of gladly taken a finger or two. I think you people are just sad and want something to control. I will gladly step up to fight against BSL's BS. Shame on all of you fear-based uneducated people. We should be going after those who train animals to be violent, after those who attack innocent dogs. Grow up people this isn't grade school or even high school for that matter.
