Travel along a stretch of Highway 64 in Polk County will be blocked all day, following a massive rock slide.
About 6:00 this morning, several large boulders fell onto Highway 64 near mile marker 17.
Eastbound traffic has been re-routed along Boyd Gap Road at mile marker 22, while westbound travel has been sent onto Parksville Road.
TDOT expect to pound the boulders, instead of blast them, to break them down small enough to remove.
We'll bring you the latest -- tonight at 6pm.
