Mocs Face All World App St QB Armanti Edwards

About the only thing that has slowed down App State quarterback Armanti Edwards this year has been a lawn mower.  He cut his foot with the mower back in August.
Since then, no one has been able to cut him down.
Last week against Furman, Edwards became the first college player in D-one history to rack up 9,000 career passing yards, and 4,000 career rushing yards.
This Saturday, he'll try to add to his totals against the Mocs.
Said UTC defensive back Jordan Tippit,"I would prefer him to stay in the pocket. Pressure. Get good pressure on him to keep him in the pocket, and just force him into making bad throws or tough throws. Closing the window, and not let him get those big plays they are accustomed to getting."
Said head coach Russ Huesman,"Because he's going to escape, there's no question about it. You just pull your hair out every time, if you get upset about it. He's going to escape. The question is where do you want him running the ball."
The Mocs and Mountaineers kick at 3:30pm on Saturday in Boone, North Carolina.
