One of Chattanooga's tiniest monkies has a new name...
The cotton top tamarin was born 6 months ago...but zoo keepers only recently confirmed she was a girl.
Last month the Chattanooga Zoo launched its contest to name the tiny primate.
Wednesday they named her Maya.
Full grown adults weigh roughly a pound.
There are less than 6000 known tamarins in the world.
Chattanooga Zoo Director Darde Long say, "They're a lot of fun and a really active and important conservation species, a great choice for a zoo like ours. When you don't have elephants you gotta come up with something really cute and I think we've done that."
Zoo keepers suspect the mother tamarin might already be pregnant again, but they won't be able to confirm for another couple months.
