Smoking and Pancreatic Cancer

Smoking has been linked to another form of cancer. It's one of the deadliest types.
I'm talking about pancreatic cancer. It usually spreads quickly and is hard to detect early. Doctors examined tissue samples from patients with pancreatic cancer. They found a protein that supports the ability of the cancer to spread in almost three quarters of samples from smokers. Scientists have linked smoking to many other cancers including lung, prostate and breast. Being overweight, older, African American or having a family history also puts you at risk of developing pancreatic cancer.
It's another reason to put out the cigarettes. Check with your doctor for help. Stay safe and healthy.
