Family history increases a woman's risk of getting breast cancer. But having a family may provide one way to reduce your chances of getting the disease.

A new study suggests breast feeding could cut breast cancer risk. A look at 60 thousand women whose mother or sister had breast cancer found exciting results. Those who had breast fed their children had a nearly 60 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer before menopause. Women saw benefits no matter how long they breastfed. Doctors aren't sure why.

But now it looks like there's one more benefit for both mom and baby to breast feeding. Stay safe and healthy.
