Last Week: Straight Up: 13-5 Spread: 7-10
So week one might have helped you with an office pool, but it probably taught you a valuable lesson: Don't take me to the casino. Not a whole lot of time to spare this week....so I'll get right to it...
TENNESSEE (-10) vs. UCLA
After last week's 63-7 win, the euphoria is back in Knoxville. Yes, it was Western Kentucky but compared to last years efforts against UAB and Wyoming, a win like that against Miller-Motte would be cause for celebration. Last year's loss to UCLA many considered to be the beginning of the end for coach Phil Fulmer. With passion and fire back in the program, revenge will be swift for the Vols on Saturday as next weekend's trip to Florida looms.

CHATTANOOGA VS. FURMAN
So, a convincing win over Division II Glenville St. is not exactly everyone's idea of "Restoring the Glory", but the 30-13 win a good first step. Saturday, the Mocs are poised to make a real statement, if they can knock off Furman and snap a 14 game losing streak against the Paladins. The Mocs proved they can air it out with B.J. Coleman throwing to Blue Cooper and a host of experienced receivers, but the defense still has some questions to answer after the Mocs were outgained by the Pioneers last week. This streak will eventually come to an end, but odds are it won't be this season.
FURMAN 26 CHATTANOOGA 17
(21) GEORGIA -(7 1/2) VS. SOUTH CAROLINA
Mark Richt comes into this one with an unfamiliar feeling, trying to rebound from an opening week loss. Last week's 24-10 defeat to Oklahoma St was the first opening game loss by a Richt coached Georgia team. You would think South Carolina lost their opener by the way most responded to the Gamecocks 7-3 win over N.C. State. Everyone expects this to be a defensive battle, and both team shouldn't disappoint. Where they will likely disappoint is on the offense, as both teams are still feeling their way with new quarterbacks. In a game between two teams that seem to play better on the road, in a series where the road team usually finds a way to win, the Gamecocks defense should be the difference in a close one.
