We have a statistic that might startle you. One that spells out a dangerous threat to our future generations.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 1 in 7 children ages 2 to 4 is obese. Doctors say it starts them on a road to health problems as adults. These little ones are more likely to develop some serious diseases, like diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol and high blood pressure when they get older. Parents can reduce the risk of obesity by breastfeeding, avoiding sugary drinks and high-calorie snacks, encouraging lots of fruits and vegetables and keeping kids active.
So start early to keep your kids safe and healthy.
