Kids and Tubs

Kids and tubs can be a dangerous combination.
Doctors say around 43 thousand kids a year go to the emergency room with injuries from a slip or fall in a shower or tub. That's 120 kids per day. And more than half the are under 5.
The American Academy of Pediatrics warns young children should always be supervised in a bath or shower. But doctors warn even diligent supervision may not be enough to stop these injuries since they happen so quickly. That's why it's a good idea to use a slip resistant mat inside and outside the bath and shower.
It's a simple step that might prevent a painful injury and lots of heartache too. Stay safe and healthy.
