Volkswagen Group of America will host a Career and Supplier Expo at the Chattanooga Convention Center on Nov. 20 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Volkswagen purchasing officials will be on hand at the expo to meet with interested suppliers. They will host sessions about the company's purchasing and procurement policies.
The career fair will focus on professional and administrative positions that the company is looking to fill, primarily within the next three to six months. Manufacturing positions will not be the focus of this fair; however, there will be future opportunities to apply for these positions.
Even though many of the positions we'll be discussing are not immediately available, this is a great opportunity for members of the Chattanooga community to begin meeting and entering into discussions with Volkswagen. In addition to submitting resumes and expressing initial interest in working with Volkswagen, participants can also attend informational sessions on the company's history and background, U.S. strategy, hiring and the Volkswagen work environment.
Specifically we will be looking at individuals with qualifications for the following positions:
- Finance / Controlling
- Safety and Environmental
- Purchasing
- Process Engineering
- Quality Assurance
- Human Resources
- Product Management
- Information Technology Training and Development
- Community Relations
- Administrative Support
Registration for the event is not necessary. Jobs will be posted on www.vwgroupcareers.com once the company begins the recruiting process.
