Walker Valley edged Hixson 13-7 in Thursday night high school football action.
Hixson took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a two yard touchdown run from quarterback Zach McCarter. 
 In the second quarter, the Mustangs tied the score when Jamais Whittaker blocked a punt, and then he fell on the ball in the endzone for a touchdown.
 Walker Valley then added two second half field goals to win it 13-7.
