Gas rip off a crime?

I'm 62 years old and live in a small town Englewood TN. Been around and seen a lot of bad things happen.
Wednesday gas was 3.49 a gallong around here. Thursday it made a 10 cent jump to 3.59. Normally it dosent jump a dime at once. That Thursday a rumor was started to what I belive was planed from the oil companies of a $1.00 jump A gallon in gas for the next day. The set off a panic buying spree that lasted through the night. So all the stores sold thousands of gallons of gas extra for a dime more then the day before. Now Friday comes and the suppliers say a shortage in gas. It dosent take a roket expert to figure out that if everyone fills up the day before that there would be a gas shortage.
Now gas here is 4.59 a gallon. This is nothing more then taken advantage of the people and the big oil companies have the power to do it. Money is power and the oil companies have a lot of it. What will happen about the price gouging? NOTHING. By the time anyone checks the books the store will have droped their prices to be the good guys again. It is OK for them to steal from us but you do a drive off and you will goto jail. Same thing.

Write your congress and try any way. It want do any good but doing nothing will not get anything done.
