They pay attention to the appeal, only to tell you 'tough' basically. I never even received the coupons and when I FINALLY got a response they told me they'd been issued and since it had been over 90 days they were expired and I'm just out of luck. I'm trying to help my 83 year old grandmother who doesn't understand the whole change. We just bought her a new tv 2 years ago and of course we didn't go digital since she's still in the "I only get 3 channels, and 4 when the weather is nice" phase. She hasn't even figured out her VCR!! So what is she supposed to do? Why can't the government just mail everyone a converter box since they're insisting on this change and then giving us a coupon to get a box? Doesn't make too much sense to me.
