02/22/08, We picked up Dixie from the animal hospital today at 4:00 pm. The Vet had good news for us. Dixie's toxins have gone way down. still not to normal levels, but surely to a better level for her health. When Dixie was brought in through the back door of the exam room and she saw us for the first time in 3 days, she whined !! she howled!! and kiss's and licks of joy. I was so very happy to have my precious pup back in my arms. Then the vet gave us the news and basically said, "if her levels can remain low and not go back up? we will get about 2 more years of life from her". In 2 weeks, we return to the vet and have the levels tested again to see if they stayed low or gained ground again.
