The prayer this man prayed
The prayer this man prayed was a very humble prayer, acknowledging man's sin and our dependence upon God for all things, even much-needed rain. That's probably why it rained the next day; it was an honest, simple prayer of faith, a prayer of need. It was not a haughty, look-at-me-I'm-praying-like-I'm-supposed-to-be prayer. Also, the word says forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, (meaning church) and we obviously all pray there....
