As promised earlier this week, some exciting news for Ron Paul supporters. I will be speaking with the Republican Presidential hopeful, for a segment to air on Super Tuesday. I only have a limited amount of time with Dr. Paul, but I'd like your help. If you could ask Ron Paul one question, what would it be? Post those questions in the comments section on this page, and I'll consider using some during the interview.
Also, Paul's son Rand Paul will be campaigning on behalf of his father this weekend in Chattanooga. The younger Paul will be at a church at 1601 Rossville Avenue around 9:00am Saturday.
New polls from Insider Advantange offer a glimpse into Super Tuesday in Tennessee and Georgia, while AEA/Capital Survey covered Alabama. Here are the results:
TN Republican Primary:
- John McCain - 33%
- Mike Huckabee - 25%
- Mitt Romney - 18%
- Ron Paul - 9%
TN Democratic Primary:
- Hillary Clinton - 59%
- Barack Obama - 26%
GA Republican Primary:
- John McCain - 35%
- Mike Huckabee - 24%
- Mitt Romney - 24%
- Ron Paul - 5%
GA Democratic Primary:
- Barack Obama - 52%
- Hillary Clinton - 36%
AL Republican Primary:
- John McCain - 34%
- Mike Huckabee - 27%
- Mitt Romney - 15%
- Ron Paul - 3%
AL Democratic Primary:
- Barack Obama - 40%
- Hillary Clinton - 35%
One more note today... Huckabee purchased TV ad time in the Chattanooga market. Ads began running today. In fact, during our Noon newscast today, there was one Huckabee, one Clinton, and two Obama ads. The Obama and Clinton ads were different than what had aired in January.

Does the current dollar devaluation against the Chinese "dollar" threaten our national security? If so, how can "winning" a localized ground war be justification for allowing an enemy to possess the equivilant of an fiscal nuclear bomb aimed at the USA?

How does the government debt
Submitted by Mia Brydie (not verified) on February 2, 2008 - 9:46pm.
How does the government debt affect each of our households directly? Why should we care if the government owes money--it's seperate from us right? What will happen if our government goes completely bankrupt--or is that possible since they can print money?

The path of the righteous man
Submitted by Jean (not verified) on February 2, 2008 - 9:42pm.
Money earned becomes the property of the person that earned it. No direct tax can be placed on personal property without apportionment. That would be a capitation Tax and therefore unconstitutional. Why is the IRS and the Federal judges allowed to lie and imprison people for breaking a non-existant law and what can you as president do to correct this.

Ron Paul Question about the economy
Submitted by Cory (not verified) on February 2, 2008 - 10:03am.
Question: "Dr. Paul you speak of inflation and our worsening financial position in the US, but what will this mean to the average family or somebody on a fixed income and what will you do about it if elected president."
This question is intended to try to help Dr. Paul bring his message home to people. He often talks about the root causes of our economic problems but the theories of central banking and Austrian Economics often go over the head of many people. We need to make American realize that they HAVE LOST A SERIOUS AMOUNT OF PURCHASING POWER over the last 8 years do to inflation and that our government policies are to blame.

Like yourself I knew that the Iraq War was a mistake from the start. I recently went to Austin, TX I saw the LBJ library and I realized that the two worst presidents in my lifetime came from Texas. It is great to see that Texas has produced a smart presidential candidate. Do you have an Idea of how long it would take you to get us out of Iraq?

First I want to state I am a Ron Paul supporter and have campaigned for his candidacy. I agree with Dr. Paul on his analysis of our current situation and it's responsible causes.
I have a question. How do we address the debt that college students must be burdened with to get an education. What can we do with this? I see this as an investment into the country a good dollar to spend with enormous return. What do you think? How can we help our kids with this.

My question for you Mr. Paul is this. Is there any other man or candidate that if something were to happen to you that you would recommend to carry on the fight of returning our civil liberties to the American people, abolishing the Federal Reserve, and the IRS? Not to mention the issue of the dreaded "chip". WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! I am a black man that knows the truth about our government that is being run by very evil men. They had President Lincoln & Kennedy shot for trying to defy them. You are a very brave and courageous man and I commend you for your effort to restore our country as was intended by this countries fore fathers in writting our Constitution. God bless you. I wish you all the success in the world.

How do you remain so calm at the debates when you have to stand up and defend the Constitution to people who do not even know the law of this land? They do not even realize that all your competition are Council on Foreign Relation traitors. I would get so mad when I hear all of the candidates lies that I would walk off the stage. I would just want to yell "People the Council on Foreign Relations was created to undermine our sovereignty WAKE up!"

I'm really starting to get the feeling that either this thing is completely rigged, or there are a lot of really dumb people out there. Any true red blooded American should vote for this man. I thought we were supposed to honor the advice of our founding fathers. 9/11 didn't change anything, Liberty is still more important than Security ever will be. It's very disappointing to me that people are holding their nose to vote for one of two faux conservatives. Mccain & Romney are not conservative, they are liberals, and they're in a big rush to destroy our Republican party and our country. Vote your conscience people.

Ron Reagan
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on February 2, 2008 - 6:18pm.
Ronald Reagan campained for Dr.Paul. And yes you
are correct.
I can't understand why the people aren't flocking to
a man who wants to restore the constitution, promotes
freedom for the individual, is the only candidate who
would bring our troops home. McCain is talking about
getting into afghanistan, and being in Iraq to 100 yrs.
Ron Paul is pro-life. He would like to end taxation
as soon as feasible. The Democrats and the other
so called Republicans in this race are all basically
saying the same thing. The only reason I can see
that Nancy Reagan didn't endorse Dr. Paul was his
views on using embryonic stem cells. You watch old
videos of President Reagan and Dr. Paul stands for
him more than any other candidate. This nation is
broke and borrowing billions of dollars from the Chinese
for this war in Iraq. Major economists are supporting
Ron Paul, and one, Antal Fekete Professor Emeritus Memorial University in Newfoundland says he is the last
home for America. We are going to crash and burn like
Rome did. They over extended there Military and their
economy collapsed from within. That's how the Russians
fell after Afghanistan. Be friends with Nations, trade
with them and mind your own business. Stop trying to
dictate to other Nations what their Government should
be, and police the world.

Ron Paul Questions
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on February 1, 2008 - 4:28pm.
Republicans and Democrats often disagree on many issues. But there is one issue that should unite us all: Civil Liberties. Disagreement on issues would be a purely academic matter without Civil Liberties - and they are disappearing. As the only candidate to make this an issue, will you explain the emerging Civil Liberties crisis, and why this ONE issue is so important that people should support your candidacy even if they disagree with many of your other views?

Ron Paul Questions
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on February 1, 2008 - 4:09pm.
"Many people associate "Conservatism" and "Liberalism" with different moral views. In turn, people tend to be "anti-republican" or "anti-democrat" because they associate these parties with various moral views.
Can you dispel this moral division for us, and explain how these "isms" are actually theories about how governments should be run, why "conservatism" is the Constitutional philosophy, and why people of all different religious and moral attitudes should feel *equally* at home in it?
And then for a follow-up:
Ronald Reagan actually campained for you, when you ran for Congress in the seventies. You were one of only four senators who endorsed Reagan. You clearly have the "Reagan" bona-fide that the CNN interview asked about last Wednesday. Can you explain why you are being marginalized as "out of step" with the GOP? Is this a problem with higher-ups in the party, or has the entire GOP changed its attitude?

Immigration Reform
Submitted by Beth Beavers (not verified) on February 1, 2008 - 3:41pm.
When can we change the laws in this country so that children born here from illegal immigrants cannot become automatic US citizens with all the benefits of a US citizen? I see it everyday in the hospital and health departments and at the grocery stores where they can't even speak English but are using Medicaid and food stamps. There is something very wrong with this picture.
What are your feelings on "Anchor babies" and what would you do as president to curve the huge influx of illegal immigrants?

Women voters
Submitted by Guest (not verified) on February 2, 2008 - 6:28pm.
Many women voters dislike Dr. Pauls stance of Pro-life.
The federal government should not be paying for
abortions. Dr. Paul supports individual fredoms,
but I believe his stance is that the states decide
what is allowed. Go to www.ronpaul.com for more
information.
Arlo Guthrie recently endorsed ron paul, and there
are several artists/musicians also. I don't know
how much I'd put faith in Arnold Schwarznegger's
endorsement...I'd much rather look at the economists
who are endorsing a candidate and read why. We are
broke and owe trillions of dollars to the chinese,
and all the promises the other candidates are endorsing
will be paid for by your children and their children
in turn if major change doesn't happen. Some
famous economists are for Ron Paul for this reason.

I personally know lots of women who support Ron Paul and I am one of those. My question is why aren't more people period supporting Ron Paul?I believe it is because most of them would say Ron Paul, who is he?The MSM has done a great job of keeping him obscure.Too many people are brainwashed by the media.I personally believe the more they hear a candidates name mentioned in the news then that name is in their brain and they vote for them without a lot of them even knowing what their stand on issues are. That is the sad state of society. Our president is picked by people maily on their name recognition rather than facts.

Ron Paul QUESTION
CNN reported yesterday that our government plans on spending $1,000,000,000.00+ to implement retinal scanning and palm print scanning for all Americans. They'd like to complete this task within the next ten years...and they're selling it to Americans under the guise of "safety from terrorists". Does Dr Paul think this recent turn of events will steer more voters his direction? (I do)
