Today, I feature our first "I thought that was a law already" law.
House Bill 2653 requires the driver of a motor vehicle in a marked school zone when warning flashers are in operation to stop to yield the right of way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within a marked crosswalk or at an intersection with no marked crosswalk. The driver must remain stopped until the pedestrian has crossed the roadway on which the vehicle is stopped.
You probably do that already though, don't you.
