JOE FRUGAL: Hot Deal on Nintendo Wii This Weekend
If you've been holding out on purchasing a Nintendo Wii for the holidays, one of the best deals on this family gaming system start tomorrow.
At 8:00am Saturday, Wal-mart will start selling a limited quantity of Wii systems for $199 with a $50 Wal-mart gift card. You can use the gift card on your very next purchase. So after you get the game system, you can take it to your car, go back into the store and find some games to go with it... or, use it for groceries. This offer runs until December 12th or while supplies last, whichever comes first.
Also, the retailer tells me they're lowering the price of their Top 25 games this week by 15 to 20%. For many games that works out to be a $10 savings. Here are some of the price cuts:
• Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics (Wii) – now $40
• Lego Rock Band (Wii) – now $40
• Rock Band: Beatles (Wii) – now $40
• MySims: Agents (Wii) – now $40
• Tekken 6 (Xbox 360 and PS3) – now $50
• Madden 2010 (Xbox 360 and PS3) – now $50
