Extra Video: Running of the Chihuahuas, The Kissing Donkey, and the Beer Guzzling Toddler
We're always getting requests from people for extra video we didn't use in our stories.
Today, I'm delivering on three stories we've run this week.
Think of them as DVD extras, right here on the website.
This was a difficult story to tell in itself.. the passing of a semi-famous mule, political icon and family member.
But it was a living donkey that made it even more difficult.
Watch Reporter Bethany Mowry trying to record her standup in front of the amorous donkey.
You probably missed it if you watched Rick's Lookout highlights on Monday night.
There is a brief glimpse of a toddler behind Looie the Lookout who's having a great time at the old ballpark.
While shooting the game, Rick Nyman looks for a shot of someone in the crowd to put between the highlights.
But when Rick zoomed in on a cute kid, he found the beer bottle.
Now, we know there really isn't beer in that bottle. (please, save your cards and letters!) It's just kind of a redneck passifier.
But the child handles it like a real pro.
And he does a good impression of a lush, dancing to the music (Britney's Oops I Did It Again!!) and waving at Looie and the Girls. A lot of adults have acted pretty much the same way with a bottle in their hands.
So here is the full video you didn't see in the highlights, but you can find on YouTube.
The clip made the YouTube Top Ten on Wednesday.
So to set the record straight.. No, this isn't a drunken toddler.
He's just living out the old Charlie Daniels credo.. "Ain't it great to be alive and living in Tennessee!"
Now you can say you know the real story behind it.
And finally, The Running of the Chihuahuas
This has been one of the most popular stories on our website this week.
Basically, the good folks over at The Mountain held this dog race to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
And since you've loved it so, I present 4 minutes of Bonus Chihuahua racing goodness.
We've got every heat that we caught on tape, plus a lot of doggie poses in between.
Be sure to catch the winner at the end.
Harley is like your typical professional athlete.
She is quite a performer on the track.
But she gets snippy with the media at the end.
She even growls for us during her post-race interview!

The Chihuahua's
I absolutely love this video. I have 2 chihuahua's and they are so cute, so loyal and so much fun to have and they are so smart. I always had big dogs while I was growing up and wanted a house dog. I decided on a chihuahua because of low maintenance, no clipping, no brushing, minimum shedding. I got the first one, a male, he was so little he fit in the cupholder of my car. Then 11 months later I got a female. Today they are 7 pounds, which is Harley and 3 1/2 pounds, which is Baby Girl. Thanks for the cute video
