A new hybrid cat has become the latest exotic pet for homeowners in America. Called the "largest, rarest and most exotic" domestic cat in the world, the Ashera is a result of breeding the African Surval and the Asian Leopard cat with an ordinary domestic cat.

Lifestyle Pets of California is selling the animal for 22 to 28 thousand US dollars each.

The Ashera is similar to the average household cat in shape. But it does have the markings of its wild cousins and a bit more size, standing four feet high on its hind legs.

To help owners along, Lifestyle Pets says the fee includes 10 years of visits with a renowned animal behaviourist, if you ever should need it.

hi! i'm Oreo!hi! i'm Oreo!

A cat named Oreo is being hailed as a hero for saving his owner's life.

Jeanie Probst of Cedar Rapids says that for about a week, Oreo went crazy every time her apartment furnace turned on. He made screeching noises and would look right at the heating vents.

Probst started to have headaches and wondered about carbon monoxide. She called the service technician and told him about Oreo.

i saved my mommy...i saved my mommy...

He was skeptical but it turns out the cat was right. A blocked flue was sending deadly carbon monoxide gas into the apartment instead of pushing it outside. Probst says her other cat and her dog didn't act strangely at all. Only Oreo sensed something wrong.
