Animal Fix: Christmas for the Bears & A Cross-Country Kitty
Christmas has come early for animals at the Central Park Zoo in the Big Apple Saturday. The zoo's polar bears Gus and Ida, enjoyed unwrapping their holiday packages filled with special treats just as much as munching on them.
Rainforest residents also got holiday treats sprinkled over trees for them to eat, and one red panda was no doubt surprised to find his favorite snack of bamboo inside a gift-wrapped box.
The holiday giving is all part of the zoo's annual Presents to the Animals event every weekend now through December 23.
A cross-country cat named Hercules is a mighty mystery in Fort Worth. As KTVT's Joel Thomas reports, it turns out he was more than a well fed stray.
So, purr-haps Hercules was on a kitty equivalent of a Grand Tour?
